Fashion Scout at London Fashion Week

The glamorous Mimi Tran has built an equally gorgeous brand with her artistic talents and lust for elegant design. Mimi has continued to expand her brand from red-carpet wear with her latest bridal collection, featuring delicate lacing and intricate beading. The growth and hard work that has been put into this brand is illustrated by her ability to capture the beauty of the female form.

Guests arrived in glamorous fashion, true to Mimi’s brand, and as a Beyonce remix began to play the crowd looked on in awe. Her stunning red-carpet styles caught the eye of many, each dress carefully crafted and sequinned the max. Black with bronze embellishments dazzled and were used throughout the collection. This included asymmetric playsuits, a body con dress with a black feather ruffled hem and two-piece sets. Gold, black, turquoise and red beading illuminated the room. Her designs empower femininity and are overflowing with allure, modernity and glamour.

As the music slowed down, models wearing luxe gowns made their way on to the runway. Floor length ruby red dresses covered with coordinating floral beading transitioned seamlessly into beautifully embellished wedding dresses. The cameras were flashing as dresses with layers of white tulle and submerged in silver beads were showcased.

The CEO and creative director was born in Vietnam but emigrated to Paris where she would spend most of her childhood, before moving again to the United States. Despite her artistic passions, Mimi graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and later earned an MBA in International Business Management.

It was not until 2015 that Mimi took the leap and invested in her outstanding talents by starting her design career and focusing on form-fitting cocktail dresses that accentuate feminine curves and silhouettes. After exploring various fabrics and beading techniques she expanded into formal gowns, this lead to her intricate, beautiful 2014 Red Carpet Collection.
